The Light Music Company is a collaborative project combining the talents of Martin Newell (Cleaners from Venus) and Rachel Love, formerly of the trio Dolly Mixture.
Housewives' Favourites consists of six light-instrumental pieces composed and played on cello and piano, then further augmented by electronic keyboards and field recordings.
They may be used in a domestic environment, as a background for informal gatherings, or to add atmosphere to otherwise-dull holiday movies, filmed on Super 8 and shown to the neighbours on bank holidays.
